Built in 1955 and expanded in 1985, the City County Building encompasses 484,000 sq. ft. of facility space and houses several City of Madison and Dane County departments as well as 2 floors of dedicated jail space.

Built in 1993, the Public Safety Building currently encompasses 186,732 sq. ft. of facility space and houses the administrative functions and secured jail space for the Dane County Sheriff’s Department.

Built in 2005, the Dane County Courthouse encompasses 225,000 sq. ft. of facility space that houses the public and administrative functions for the District Attorney’s Office and the Dane County Circuit Courts.

Built in 1996, the Fen Oak Resource Center encompasses 30,100 sq. ft. of facility space that houses the public and administrative operations of the Land and Water Resources Department and the Dane County UW Agricultural Extension.
The current facility was constructed in 2011 and houses a licensed skilled care Nursing Home operated by the Dane County Department of Human Services.
